Jodi has rescued a lot of animals through her work with Three Little Pitties Rescue but she admits that Abel was “one of the saddest dogs I’ve ever seen.” She says the bald, starving dog had been watched for weeks by people but nobody wanted to help him. But she did and took the stray dog home.
It took a few weeks for Abel’s tail to wag and for him to feel like he could trust her and her family. But as the weeks progressed, Abel gained his strength and fur back. And just as he was about to go to his forever family he had a setback.

Abel caught canine distemper and Jodi wasn’t sure he was going to live. But again, Abel showed how strong he is and he pulled through. And thank goodness did because now Abel has a wonderful life with Eric, Ali and his brother Wally.
