Woman Rescues Stray Dog in Serbia and Shows Him What it Looks Like to Be Loved

When @karolinasanimalrescue found a pup who had been dumped near a lake, the dog was so scared she didn’t know if she would be able to approach close enough to help him. She slowly inched forward and tried to gain the animal’s trust. The pup continued to yelp and seemed very scared of human interaction. Soon after, he realized that she was not a threat, and he instantly switched to a happy pup who wanted all of the love he could get.

Karolina brought him to the vet and got him fixed, chipped, vaccinated, examined, and treated against parasites. The sweet stray pup finally had someone that cared about him!

In an update video, Karolina shows the pup again and shows just how much he likes pets and scratches now. He is soaking in all the love that he can get!

According to national estimates, approximately 6.3 million companion animals are abandoned and enter U.S. animal shelters nationwide every year. In the US alone over 5.4 million cats are killed on the side of the road. If you happen to notice an animal on the side of the road, whether or not the animal is injured, safely put on the hazard lights and pull your car completely off the road before attempting to rescue them, says the Humane Society.
