This is the moment a poor stray dog tries to eat a plate of noodles left out for it by a kindly resident and they immediately fall out of a large hole in its neck before the food can reach its stomach.
Mr Santiago Navea said: ‘While I was watching the dog eat I saw some of the noodles immediately coming out again.
‘When I looked closer, there was a large hole in its throat.’
‘I assumed that the dog was supposed to be slaughtered but probably got away,’ Mr Santiago Navea said, adding that the practice should stop, according to Coconuts.
He also urged dog owners who no longer wanted their pets to hand them over to authorities rather than leaving them to fend for themselves on the street.
Filipino law states that ‘Any person who subjects any animal to cruelty, maltreatment or neglect shall, upon conviction by final judgment, be punished by imprisonment and/or fine.’
In a comment on the post, Mr Santiago Navea said that he will look for the stray dog with friends and take it to a veterinary clinic.
