Rescued Hope: Street Dog Suffering Spinal Injury Receives the Vital Help and Care He Desperately Needs

A street dog who was seriously hurt with a spinal injury was hiding in pain. The neighbors who found him contacted Animal Aid Unlimited to help him.

“When our rescue team arrived he growled and threatened to bite. Looking back, we now know the reason was only his tremendous pain and fear,” Animal Aid Unlimited writes on YouTube. “Those growls were soon replaced by the most patient, trusting smiles.”

Thankfully, the young dog (who they named Joey) did not have any fractures or serious wounds. But to walk again he would need 4 weeks of bedrest – a luxury no street dog gets. But that’s where Animal Aid Unlimited and their supporters come in.

“For a young dog especially, this confinement is really tough. But loving visits and plenty going on around him helped,” his rescuers say. And it is truly heartwarming to see him a month later.
