Mr Barns runs the Kangaroo Sanctuary in Alice Springs, central Australia, where he takes care of orphaned kangaroos like Indi (pictured giving him hugs)

Mr Barns is also known as ‘Kangaroo Dundee’ because of his work rescuing injured and orphaned kangaroos.

Mr Barns was also nominated for Australian of the Year in 2014.
