This is the incredible moment a fruit bat swooped in to rescue her baby after pinpointing its location by following the sound of it crying.
The rare footage was captured by Singaporean animal charity ACRES, who later posted it to their YouTube channel, with a rundown of the events.
The team explained that they came across the lost baby bat, which had been stranded and separated from its mother for almost two hours.

The blind fruit bat had to rely on the calls from her distressed baby, which cried loudly for her to return
Believing that its mother was still in the vicinity, the group got to work placing the baby bat into a better location to be recovered.
In the clip the adult fruit bat can be seen flying around and attempting to accurately pinpoint the whereabouts of her offspring.
As bats are blind, the mother had to rely on the calls from the distressed creature, which cried loudly for her to return.
After around two minutes the bat was able to successfully negotiate her way to the baby and the pair were reunited on the ground.

After a short while the duo are ready to set off together again and with the little one strapped in securely, the mother takes to the sky.
Writing alongside the video, ACRES said: ‘We thank Mr Joel Guglietta for his genuine concern and eagerness to help us in ensuring that the baby bat was safely contained prior to our arrival.
‘Every animal is important to us and we hope this video will highlight how wonderful these animals are and how a little help can go a long way in making sure that they stay safe.’
