Rescuers with The Man that Rescues Dogs received an urgent call about an emaciated dog near death and responded immediately.
The stray dog had collapsed at a crane company parking lot when Michael, who is known in Thailand as “the Man that Rescues Dogs,” and his colleagues arrived.
Byron, as they named the dog, used his last ounce of strength to try and get out of their net. But he couldn’t get up. He looked so scared as they carried him away for help. He ended up having distemper, a blood parasite and septicaemia.
He was also so starved he couldn’t eat on his own. No wonder he didn’t have the energy to move.
He needed to be given food through a syringe but that help him slowly gain strength and a month later he could chew and eat on his own. That was three years ago. Now in 2023 Byron is an entirely new dog!
Almost all of his fur has grown back and he is a healthy weight and happy.
He will always bear the scars of his troubled past, but to see him walking and playing and enjoying life is an absolute joy.
