A California nature lover saw a humorous scene unfold while driving, so she stopped her car and began filming a brown bear helping her two tiny cubs over a wooden fence. One cub scaled the fence with ease, but the second gave its mom a hard time.
Christina Flores Hinojosa, 51, was driving to her sister’s home in California to let the dogs out on June 12, around noon, when something grabbed her attention.
“I saw something from the corner of my eye, going up the wall, and because the wall is brown and the bears are brown I was like, ‘What is that?’” Ms. Hinojosa told The Epoch Times. “I looked over to the right, and I said, ‘Oh my gosh, this is so adorable,’ so I pulled over and I just started recording.”

At first, Ms. Hinojosa was excited to “see wild nature right there.” However soon her excitement turned to concern as the second bear cub struggled to scale the fence, evaded mom’s attempts to grab at its scruff, and seemed to get left behind.
“Mama Bear disappeared over the wall and I thought, ‘Oh no, she’s leaving the other baby bear!’ But nope, she popped right back up and looked for her,” Ms. Hinojosa said. “I am a mom of two, so I just wanted to help her throw that baby bear over the fence. But Mama Bear wouldn’t have understood that, she might have hurt me, so I just sat in my car and recorded for as long as I could.”

After several minutes, the bear cub seemed to lose hope and wandered off into the street. Luckily, the mom followed, and her reluctant cub eventually scrambled over the fence with her help.
The funny clip ends with the cub reemerging over the wooden pickets from the other side as if threatening to start the whole charade over.
“It’s so funny because it got so stressful,” Ms. Hinojosa said. “Baby Bear’s walking away into the street and I was like, ‘Oh no, you can’t go the other way!’ Anyway, it was just the cutest thing.”
According to Ms. Hinojosa, the whole charade must have lasted for about 10 minutes, adding that there are “lots of bears everywhere,” in the California mountain foothills.

Ms. Hinojosa shared her clip of the bears on social media and was shocked by the skyrocketing view count it got.
“People I don’t even know were commenting and responding,” she told The Epoch Times. “They’re like, ‘Oh my God, how does the story end?’ and, ‘This is so stressful! I’m totally invested’
“I guess everybody felt the same way I felt. It was exciting!”
