Intense footage captures the moment a lion and a crocodile faced off in a river, engaging in an epic tug of war over an antelope carcass.
The lion was took a big risk by entering the shallow waters of the river, where the crocodile holds the home-field advantage. While lions have a fearsome reputation, they of course aren’t immune to a croc’s immensely powerful bite. One careless slip and the reptile could hold the large cat in its jaws below the water’s surface until it suffocates.
