The rescue team acted quickly and organized the transportation of a litter of abandoned pups, together with 31 other puppies, to their center. Once they arrived, the staff noticed that one pup was different from the others. While the other puppies were running around and playing, this special pup, named Star, exhibited signs of special needs. It turned out that Star was deaf and almost blind. Furthermore, Star’s littermate, Denver, took on the role of a guide dog for her. Denver stayed close to Star, assisting her as she adapted to using her other senses to navigate her surroundings.
Denver and Star were inseparable; the moment they were separated, Denver would always come back running to Star to let her know that he was around.
The two furry friends, Star and Denver, are inseparable and rely on each other for support. As a result, the center is looking for someone who will adopt them together. The lucky adopter will receive special training on how to care for a dog with special needs, and Denver will be there to assist his sister in any way possible. Dora Dahlke, the Adoption Services Manager at Helen Woodward, remarked that this duo teaches us about true sibling love and the power of friendship.
