Two killer whales were filmed ripping a seal in half in some incredible footage taken by a drone off the coast of northern Norway.

The footage was shot by the Norwegian Orca Survey, the leading research organization on Norwegian killer whales. The footage just goes to show that orcas are known as ‘killer whales’ for a reason.
The killer whales work together to tear apart their prey, in a method that highlights the social nature of these creatures. This behavior has been observed before. Watch another sighting in the video below, in which killer whales tear apart a stingray:
