Theoklitos Proestakis (aka “Takis”), founder of Takis Shelter, was on his moped and on his way back to the shelter when he spotted a young abandoned hunting dog on the side of the road. The dog’s tail was tightly tucked under his body in fright and was scared to approach Takis despite the rescuer’s gentle coaxing.
Takis called for help and fortunately after a bit more patience and coaxing the dog went into the trap. Back at the shelter, Takis noted that “Jerry” was scared because he thought he was going to hit him. But Takis won him over and soon Jerry was greeting him with a happy wagging tail.
