Six little puppies were given a fighting chance at life after being drenched in the rain.
The Stray Rescue of St. Louis shared about the rescue on YouTube, explaining that the rain finally cleared. However, as any animal rescuer knows, rain or shine, the work is never over.
After the rain cleared, the rescue received a call from a bus driver who said, “I see 6 young puppies out here by the road, they need help.”
While it was completely unexpected to have six pups in need of help, rescuers didn’t hesitate to drive out and do their best to save the little canines.
Rescuers with Stray Rescue of St. Louis were able to collect all six little puppies who they found huddled together and shivering, soaked from the rain. It’s clear that without help, the puppies’ fate would’ve been grim and they wouldn’t have survived long.
Thankfully, that wasn’t the case. Rescuers got the puppies dry and warm, and fed their hungry bellies. It took a lot of work and the pups need some basic medical care and vaccinations, but they’re all doing great.
Due to their rescue being close to St. Patrick’s Day and the amount of luck they had to be rescued, they were each given “lucky Irish names”.
