Incredible Teamwork: Alaskan Sled Dogs Unite to Ward Off Brown Bear Threat [Video]

One thing I’ve learned over the past few years…

Dogs aren’t really scared of anything.

Maybe it’s ignorance, maybe it’s curiosity, maybe it’s all of the above, but I’ve seen several videos of domesticated dogs going toe to toe with bears that are two, three times their size, as they protect their owner from a creature that could pose a serious threat.

They’ve also been known to go toe to toe with mountain lions as well.

Granted, if these large predators every wanted to truly tangle, it would most likely be game over for the pup, but sometimes, it’s not about the size of the dog in the fight.

With that being said, here’s yet another video of a group of dogs ganging up on a brown bear that had made its way onto their owner’s property.

This one went down in Alaska, as you can see the brown bear well inside the property line.

So, the owner’s group of sled dogs’ protective instincts kicked in, and three of them began to attack the much larger brown bear.

You can see the dogs running straight up to the brown bear, and biting it as the brown bear tries its best to fight back. The brown bear lunges and bites at the dogs, but it eventually realizes that this isn’t a battle that it wants to continue.

By the end of the video, you can see the brown bear begin running off in the other direction, and it appears the sled dogs won this battle.
