One day a woman was passing by a blueberry field and spotted something black that looked as if it could be a dog. For a moment, she wondered if it could be a garbage bag but then realized yes, it was a dog.
She stopped to check on the dog but as she got closer, her heart sank. The dog wasn’t moving. But soon she finally did move to get away and it was then that it became obvious she had an injured leg and was very scared.
The dog continued to try to get away, but it was impossible with her injury. So, the woman got a tether and after about 40 minutes, had her in her van and on the way to help.
Fortunately, she worked at an animal rescue project and so she called her boss and told her she was on her way with the injured pittie. Once there, they scanned her for a chip, but she didn’t have one.
Since they had no idea whom she belonged to, the woman took the sweet dog home with her. The dog was seen by a vet and two days later had surgery to repair her leg. But it would be three more months before the dog now named Blueberry would recover.
But after that, Blueberry was ready to meet the other pets in the house. The sweet pup fell in love with the cat and other dogs living there. Blueberry fit right in and although she was supposed to be a foster, she had found her forever home.
Blueberry is now living her best life and putting all the pain of her past behind her. She’s an adventurous potato who loves nothing more than to run, play, love her new family, and do new things.
She is so lucky that she was found by a special person who was willing to give her the life she deserved. No dog should ever be abandoned and thankfully, she was seen on that day so that she could be saved.
We wish all the best to Blueberry and love to see the joy on her cute face. It’s hard to imagine her left alone but those days are now in her rear-view mirror, and she is in a happy place. We hope you enjoyed her story. As always, please feel free to share with your friends.
