The worst condition I’ve ever seen a dog in was a little stray that my mom and I found in the park when I was like eleven. The poor dog had been hit by a car and was paralyzed.
It was clear that he’d been like that for a while, dragging his back legs around for so long that he’d worn them raw down to the bone.
It was the saddest thing I’ve had to witness in terms of stray animals, and it’s a very sobering reminder of just how much animals can suffer when they’re living as strays on the street.
If they get injured there is no one to care for them, and they just have to go on suffering from horrific injuries that only get worse with each passing day they don’t receive care.
One dog, a pit bull with a painful neck wound, was spending his days in agony as a stray. Luckily for the sweet pittie, help was on the way. The Dog Rescue Shelter in Mladenovac, Serbia arrived at the scene only to find him laying on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere.

He was in really bad shape. The deep gash on his neck needed a lot of medical attention.
Surprisingly, despite the state that he was in, the pit bull was actually quite friendly and cordial towards his rescuers, going as far as to greet them with a wagging tail. It’s like he knew they were there to help and get him to a better life.
The Dog Rescue Shelter Mladenovac took him in and cared for him. They absolutely loved him but wanted to see him happily settled down.
According to their video below, the day eventually came when the shelter was able to post to Facebook, “Two months later this gentle boy got a forever home with a loving family and life he deserves.”
