A terrifying video of a black panther dragging a giant anaconda out of water has gone viral on social media. The hair-raising video was shared on Twitter by Biodiversidade Brasileira.
“Very rare record of a jaguar fighting an anaconda,” the video is captioned.
In the video, a black panther, also known as the jaguar, can be seen pulling an anaconda out of a shallow water body. The snake coils its body around the panther’s mouth, trying to suffocate it. Watch the video here:

The video has been circulating on social media at least since 2013. A longer version of the video, which was shared by YouTube channel VIDEO Mirchi 68.3, shows the big cat successfully dragging the snake back to the land. The ferocious fight ends with the death of the anaconda. Watch here:
The viral video has garnered more than 6.89 lakh views. Here’s how netizens reacted to the video:

Another video of an anaconda trying to swallow an alligator had surfaced online in August last year. The video was from Ponta Negra neighbourhood of Manaus in Brazil.
In the video, the snake was seen wrapping itself around the alligator while trying to swallow it. Residents of the neighbourhood tried to drag the two reptiles away by tying them with a rope. The two animals were separated from each other after the locals intervened. Bystanders said that the anaconda was more than six feet in length.
