Mysterious UFO filmed drifting across night sky
A video of a giant “disc-shaped” UFO hovering over a town has prompted panic about an alien invasion.
Eerie footage shot at night shows the strange object hovering in the sky surrounded by a glowing halo.
The video was posted onto social media and immediately caused a frenzy of panic and speculation about what the mystery craft could be.
Filmed in Tamaulipas in north-eastern Mexico, some unnerved locals have suggested the slow-moving apparition could be alien intruders.
Reports suggested the UFO was also spotted in the neighbouring states of Nuevo León and Coahuila.
The 17-second clip was shared by TikToker Marcella Guzman, where it went viral, attracting more than 4.5million views and more than 5,000 comments.
Marcella wrote: “Has anyone else seen this somewhere?
“That thing that you see there began to make a circle and disappeared, to later become a very small star and continue advancing.”
One local joked, “It was me travelling with the Guardians of the Galaxy” – referring to the sci-fi comic book and movie series with stars including Chris Pratt and Karen Gillan.
Another commenter wrote: “I also saw it, I was on a bus and I asked my dad what that was and we thought it was a star but then he dropped a circle and disappeared.
While another claimed: “I knew they were real.”
However, someone else debunked any alien theories by saying: “If aliens exist they would already have attacked us.”
Last month retired US Navy pilot Ryan Graves told a US Congress hearing that real UFOs look nothing like flying saucers.
Delivering his bombshell at the hearing on the phenomenon, Graves said that they are “dark grey or black cubes” inside a “clear sphere”.
