Three small ponies became unlikely heroes after saving a couple on a country walk from a rampaging wild boar.
The dramatic footage, which was shot in Belgium by the pair, shows them filming a picturesque country road with a small black pony in the background.
But suddenly the tranquility is disturbed by a raging wild boar who runs down the road and attempts to enter a nearby field.
The Belgian couple were enjoying a peaceful walk in the countryside when a rampaging wild boar suddenly appeared
The boar began to charge down the road after crashing into the wire fence while trying to enter a field
And after it realises it can’t run through a wire fence it then begins to charge at the couple, with the woman screaming ‘I’m scared’ in French.
But luckily for the couple, three small ponies come to their rescue and begin chasing the boar scaring it off.
The boar again runs into a fence with the ponies still giving chase until it moves into another field and then safely out of sight.
The boar then began to charge at the couple who were filming the wild animal on their mobile phone
But luckily for the couple, a group of small ponies were on hand to chase away the raging animal
The ponies continued to give chase, making sure it was safely away from the French-speaking couple
The clip of the unlikely incident has been uploaded to Youtube and has already been viewed more than 1.6million times, with viewers impressed by the ponies determination to keep the couple from harm.
But according to one wild boar expert who spoke to L’Express, the ponies may actually just have been playing with the boar rather than saving the pair.
He added that the ponies probably started following the boar due to ‘herd instinct’.
