Abandoned dogs, often already victims of abuse and neglect, find an even more painful fate when they are neglected by their supposed owners.
These animals, already vulnerable by nature, end up being left to their own devices, wandering aimlessly on the streets, facing hunger, disease and dangers of all kinds.
In the midst of this sad reality comes the case of a dog who, due to a fractured spine, found himself helpless on the ground, unable to move.
This animal, already the victim of cruel abandonment, now found itself facing a new challenge that would have seriously compromised its quality of life.
One day, a kind and animal-loving person found an abandoned dog, lying motionless on the asphalt. Seeing him like this, she felt a sense of compassion and decided to do something to help him. She brought the dog food and water, but he knew it wasn’t enough.
So, he called rescuers to have him taken to a veterinary clinic. Rescuers arrived soon and found the dog under a box, placed there to protect him from the sun.
The dog was visibly abused and its hind legs were paralyzed. Without wasting time, rescuers took him to hospital, where he underwent surgery for a fractured spine.
The recovery was long and difficult, but the dog, now called General, demonstrated a strong will to live. After being discharged, he was welcomed into a temporary home by a volunteer.
Then, a loving family adopted him despite his disabilities. With the support of his new family, General has learned to overcome daily challenges. Even though his life has been tough, he has finally found the love and security he deserves.
