There is no limit to the wickedness of human beings, especially when it comes to inflicting suffering on innocent animals. Too often, we witness unimaginable acts of cruelty, perpetrated without any compassion or respect for animal life.
A shocking example of this wickedness was recently highlighted by an event in which someone took a dog away from its owner and suspended it near a highway overpass with an electrical cord.
This heartless and cowardly act not only put the poor dog’s life at risk, but also shocked the conscience of anyone who heard of this unspeakable cruelty.
A man named David Fredman was on his way to work in Independence, Missouri, when he noticed the dog near a highway overpass.
He saw the dog hanging on the side of the barrier with the rope of an electric cable squeezing him and which was certainly strangling him. The poor animal desperately tried to move his head to free himself, but he could barely move it.
After calling 911, Fredman grabbed a knife to free the dog. He noticed that the dog was struggling to breathe and couldn’t even walk. Subsequently, he took the dog to the KC Pet Project.
It was discovered, thanks to the microchip, that the dog was called Max and was owned by Dee Vaughn, who had reported him missing just two hours before he was found.
Vaughn was shocked when he learned what had happened to his best friend. It is unclear how Max found himself in that situation, whether by accident or an intentional act. But, according to Vaughn, Max couldn’t have reached that place simply by walking.
Vaughn contacted police and animal control to investigate the matter further, but expressed gratitude to Fredman for saving Max.
