Top Notch Logbuilders built this log cabin measuring 1,250 square feet in the early 90s. It is perfect for visitors who wish to stay more than one night in Talkeetna. The log cabin includes a fully equipped kitchen with pots and dishes, coffee and tea, as well a grill on deck for easy cooking. Tap water is better for the environment and money than buying bottled water. The bathroom has a tub, shower, and full-size washer/dryer. Upstairs, there are two twin-sized beds as well as a futon. There is plenty of space for reading, playing games, yoga, and other activities. Guests can leave or take a book from the bookshelf. The pondside setting is great for swimming, canoeing and animal viewing. In winter, it’s ideal for skating or skiing.
Log cabin guests can use the entire log cabin as well as the yard. A half-mile walk through the woods can be enjoyed by guests. The owners request that you not use the neighbor’s diving platform in middle of the lake. Fires outside are not allowed. Studio Z Yoga’s owner is also the instructor. Nana’s Cabin can be found 1/4 mile from the little yurt-studio. By appointment, private sessions and bespoke lessons in yoga are available. Visitors are welcome to attend Diane’s regularly scheduled classes in yoga. It is worth noting that Denali’s summit can be seen from Talkeetna. However, the Denali Park Entrance can only be reached by a three-hour drive from the log house.
